Did you know? Sumner County is home to several waterways including Town Creek, East Camp Creek, and a piece of Old Hickory Lake! Each of these waterways is a unique and beautiful ecosystem worthy of protection, and they all feed into the Cumberland River– where we get our drinking water. Join the Cumberland River Compact at the Portland Library for a fun evening dedicated to learning about your local waterways and ways you can take action in your local community. You will participate in interactive demonstrations, trivia games, and group conversations – all to help you appreciate and protect Sumner County waterways! Light refreshments will be provided. This event is designed for adults, but children are welcome to attend; coloring sheets and crayons will be provided. Registration is recommended!
